Prithvi Shamanur, who made his debut with Padavipoorva, is set to return to the big screen with Udaala. The film is produced by Yogaraj Cinemas and Ravi Shamanur Films. This marks Amol Patil's directorial debut. He previously worked as an associate with Yogaraj Bhat. Interestingly, producers Ravi Shamanur and Yogaraj Bhat, who had previously worked together on Padavipoorva, have collaborated once again for this project.
With shooting and post-production finished, Udaala is ready for release. The makers recently shared the film's teaser on the Saregama YouTube channel, and it has received enthusiastic reviews. Set in the scenic and cultural backdrop of North Karnataka, the teaser resonates with viewers due to its regional authenticity and rustic charm. The whole film was shot in Vijayapura (Bijapur), capturing the area's essence.
Described as a full commercial entertainer, Udaala combines love, comedy, and drama within a North Karnataka setting. Prithvi Shamanur plays a guide, while Hrithik Srinivas stars opposite him as the female lead. The supporting cast includes Bala Rajawadi, Maalu Nipnal, Harish Hiriyur, Biradar, Sumit Sankoji, Vadiraj Bablad, Praveen Gasti, Dayanand Beelagi, Renuka, Sridhar, Danappa, Shilpa Shantakumar, and Sonia.
The film's music album features five songs written by Yogaraj Bhat and composed by Chetan Davy. The songs are sung by Jaskaran Singh, known for the Dwapara song from Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi, Malu Nipnal, Balu Belagundi, Karibasava, Srushti Shamanur, and Chetan Sosk. On the technical side, Udaala brings Shivashankar Noorambad as the cinematographer, Madhu Thumbakere as editor, Arjun Raj and Vinod handling stunt direction, and Bajarangi Mohan and Raghu choreographing the dance sequences.
