Kichcha Sudeep: It was just an empty space, Bigg Boss gave it an address

For 12 years, Bigg Boss Kannada has been more than just a TV show — it’s a cultural pulse that mirrors the emotions, ambitions, and dramas of millions. But this season, the show itself found its drama unfolding outside the house. When Jollywood Studios, which hosts the iconic Bigg Boss house, was sealed over environmental violations, the show came to an unexpected halt for the first time in its history.

What followed was a real-life twist worthy of prime-time television. Host Kichcha Sudeep reportedly made that decisive call that helped reopen the set after Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar intervened. And when the actor finally addressed the incident on air during his weekend segment, he did it in classic Sudeep style — calm, sharp, and unapologetically real.

“This has nothing to do with Bigg Boss,” he said. “An empty space needed an address — and that address became Bigg Boss. That’s all.” The line drew applause, and many saw it as a clean, calculated retort to the controversy surrounding to the place.

When something that brings joy to so many faces a small setback, there are people who make sure the flame never dies. As long as your love stands strong, Bigg Boss Kannada will keep moving forward.”

Sudeep made it clear that neither Colors Kannada nor the Bigg Boss team had violated any rules. “The problem wasn’t ours,” he said. “But when a show this big feeds families and becomes a source of inspiration, it’s natural for a few eyes to turn jealous. Even that’s fine.”

He ended by thanking DK Shivakumar and NA Haris’s son, Mohammed Nalapad, for their swift help.

Inside the house, contestant Mallamma also stirred headlines with her fiery words — defending Sudeep against housemates who joked that fights begin after his exit. “He brings us joy, not chaos,” she snapped, winning a chuckle from the superstar host.
