Kantara: Chapter 1 is crossing box office milestone with the latest milestone being that the film has netted Rs 509 crores worldwide in its box office collections. But something that is common to this film and its predecessor Kantara (2022) is the positive reception to the soundtrack and the original score.

B Ajaneesh Loknath returned to compose music for Rishab Shetty's Kantara: Chapter 1 after Kantara (2022). In an interview with CE, Ajaneesh said, "We focused on ancient instruments—veena, mrudanga, nadaswaram—and the aalapam in the opening reflects Carnatic traditions. The music was carefully organised to blend Carnatic music with tribal rhythms, researched and presented through the Viruttam style."

One song, which has been well received, amongst the film's soundtrack is, 'Brahmakalasha'. Speaking about the song, Ajaneesh said, "'Brahmakalasha' illustrates the process of the kumbha abhishekam, and though every community honours Lord Shiva, tonalities and expressions of devotion vary. This is reflected in the lyrics and composition.”

Rishab Shetty's Kantara: Chapter 1 also stars Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Devaiah, Jayaram, and Prakash Thuminad amongst others.
