In an unprecedented episode in the history of Bigg Boss Kannada, the reality show’s set at Jollywood Studios in Bidadi was briefly sealed, halting production and sparking widespread speculation. However, the crisis has now passed, and the show is back in action with renewed momentum, as contestants returned to the house at midnight on Thursday.

The Bigg Boss house was temporarily shut after the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) issued a notice alleging that Jollywood Studios had discharged untreated wastewater into nearby drains, violating the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974. Acting on this notice, the Ramanagara district administration sealed the premises and disconnected the power supply.

During the brief suspension, contestants were shifted to a nearby private resort, where they continued to follow Bigg Boss protocols. After nearly 30 hours of disruption, the lights came back on, the main gate reopened, and the show resumed filming — bringing relief after a high-drama pause.

Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar intervened to resolve the issue and later issued a statement on X, saying:

“I have directed the Deputy Commissioner of Bengaluru South District to lift the seal on Jollywood premises in Bidadi, where Bigg Boss Kannada is being filmed.

While environmental compliance remains a top priority, the studio will be given time to address violations in accordance with the norms set by the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board.

I remain committed to supporting the Kannada entertainment industry, while also upholding our responsibility toward environmental protection.”

Acknowledging the timely intervention, actor-host Kiccha Sudeep took to social media to express his gratitude:

“I sincerely thank Hon. DK Shivakumar sir for the timely support. Also want to thank the concerned authorities for acknowledging that #BBK was not involved or was a part of the recent chaos or disturbances. I truly appreciate the DCM for promptly responding to my call, and thank Nalpad for his dedicated efforts. #BBK12 is here to stay.”

With the seal lifted and production resuming, Bigg Boss Kannada 12 continues its run — a reminder, as Sudeep suggests, to keep the show going.
