Ravi K Chandran praises Kantara: Chapter 1, calls it a visual masterpiece

According to the veteran cinematographer, Rishab Shetty's "direction is pure magic"

Rishab Shetty's Kantara: Chapter 1 continues to garner appreciation from both general audiences and film fraternity members even as the film enters its second week of release. Earlier today, cinematographer and director Ravi K Chandran took to his Instagram Stories to praise the film, which he calls "a visual masterpiece". The cinematographer, who recently worked on Pawan Kalyan's They Call Him OG, praised the work of technical team behind Kantara: Chapter 1. He gave a shout out to the epic film's cinematographer Arvind S Kashyap and production designer Banglan. "What a stunning production design," wrote Ravi tagging Banglan in the post. He added, "My man Arvind S Kashyap, your cinematography deserves all the awards and I am proud of you."

According to the veteran cinematographer, Rishab's "direction is pure magic" and he has has set the film in a world that is "real yet surreal" and is "both rooted and powerful". Ravi K Chandran then went on to describe Rishab Shetty as "the best in the country," presumably alluding to the latter's skills as a director.

Ravi also praised Rukmini Vasanth's performance in the film. "You are something special," he wrote before praising the action scenes in the movie. In her response to his post, Rukmini wrote, "Thank you for your kind words, means a lot coming from you sir."
