Dr Sangamesh Upase, who gained fame on television as Compounder Govind and became a household name through the Silli Lalli serial, is now making his mark in cinema with Galibilli Govinda. Even while holding a government position, Sangamesh has remained committed to his artistic pursuits and entertainment projects.

Galibilli Govinda is a comedy that carries a social message, and Sangamesh has taken responsibility for the story, screenplay, dialogues, and direction for the first time. The film features his signature lines such as 'Naguvarige Maathra' and 'Arthavaaytu Bidi' as part of its core appeal.

The film blends contemporary social themes with humour, aiming to engage audiences while delivering meaningful entertainment. Song recordings have been completed with music by Palani D Senapati and choreography by Malur Srinivas. Produced under Universal Studio Vijayapura and Shri Sai Productions, the project is backed by Ambareesh Banajigere, Sandeep Rathod, and Madivalappa M Gogi. Filming is set to begin soon and the team is ready to roll.
