It is no news that Kichcha Sudeep is currently dedicating himself to the much-anticipated Billa Ranga Baashaa (BRB), directed by Anup Bhandari. The film recently wrapped a major schedule, and the makers are planning the next one. As we previously reported, Sudeep has been firm about taking on two projects every 18 months. Accordingly, he will set the ball rolling for his next one in July.

Reliable sources have confirmed that the script for Sudeep’s next has been locked, and pre-production is in progress. While there was early speculation that the new film might be a continuation of Max, that remains unconfirmed. However, CE has learnt that Sudeep is reuniting with the core Max team. Director Vijay Karthikeyan will once again helm the project, while Max collaborators — composer Ajaneesh Loknath and cinematographer Shekar Chandra — are returning for this upcoming project. It is under wraps whether the film will be Max 2 or a new project.

Additionally, Sudeep is in talks with both established and emerging directors for future collaborations. For now, though, his focus remains on BRB and his upcoming film with the Max crew. An official announcement, including the title and more details, is expected in the coming month.
