A Sharadhaa

Congratulations Brother, a new-age Kannada film, which created a buzz with its title, now adds a fresh tone and curious storytelling. With a story that flips familiar love tropes, the film has sparked conversations for all the right reasons.

Set against the backdrop of romantic entanglements, the story follows a young man who unexpectedly finds himself navigating relationships with two women. But instead of playing into clichés, the narrative leans into irony and emotional complexity.

Headlined by debutant Rakshith Nag, the film introduces Sanjana Das and Anusha as female leads. Veteran actor Shashikumar plays a pivotal role, and the supporting cast includes Rakshith Kapu, Sudarshan, and Chetan Durga. The film’s tone, according to the team, sits somewhere between sharp wit and emotional realism, challenging the audience to look at love from a slightly twisted yet relatable lens.

Directed by debutant Pratap Gandharva and creatively shaped by filmmaker Hari Santhosh, Congratulations Brother is produced by Prashanth Kallur under the banners of Pen & Paper Studios and Kallur Cinemas. For Prashanth, this marks his first full-fledged production venture, though he has previously co-produced a few projects.

Shot across scenic locations in Karwar and urban setups in Bengaluru, the film has cinematography by Guruprasad. The music, composed by Suraj Jois, is expected to complement the film’s playful yet heartfelt tone.

With post-production underway, Congratulations Brother is gearing up to offer audiences a love story that’s anything but typical, and the release date is expected to be announced soon.
