Actor and politician Tara shared a heartfelt tribute to veteran actor B Saroja Devi, recalling their close bond and the legendary star’s quiet strength and grace.

“Anytime something happened in the industry, she would call me. Even recently, her daughter had gone to Dubai, and we had spoken just three days ago. She sounded a little tired but was positive as always. She had fulfilled her ambitions with such grace. I’ve never heard anything negative about her.”

Tara also highlighted on Saroja Devi's historic status as a true pan-Indian actor. “She stood equal to her heroes, received equal pay, and earned national popularity long before such terms became common. She was a mother figure to everyone in the industry, treating each of us like her own.”

Saroja Devi was very disciplined—in life, art, even gardening. "She often told women to be financially independent. Today, she may have left us physically, but her blessings and values will continue to guide us all.”
