Legendary music composer Hamsalekha, who last worked on Kaljiga (2024), is set to return to film music with director Om Prakash Rao’s 49th and 50th directorial ventures—Phoenix and Guerilla War. Despite being occupied with his debut directorial project, Ok, Hamsalekha has agreed to score music for both films.

“Hamsalekha’s contribution to Kannada cinema is unparalleled,” said Om Prakash Rao. “He has given super hit songs for many of my films like Lockup Death, Simhada Mari, AK 47, Palegara, and more. I’m very happy to have him on board again.”

Phoenix, nearing completion, is produced by Trisha Prakash under the Guru Chitralaya banner. The film stars Nimika Ratnakar, Bhaskar Shetty, and others.

Guerilla War, Om Prakash Rao’s 50th directorial, is slated to begin production in August. The film is produced by Nayana Gowda under MR Talkies, and stars Mandya Loki in the lead, with Nimika Ratnakar once again collaborating with the director in the female lead role.
