Hombale Films, one of India’s leading production and distribution companies, has announced that it will distribute the upcoming Hollywood film Anaconda across theatres in Karnataka. The move marks the company’s entry into international film distribution and adds a global title to its expanding portfolio.
Over the years, Hombale Films has built a strong presence in Indian cinema with large-scale, audience-focused films rooted in local sensibilities. With Anaconda, the company is extending that experience to international content, bringing a major Hollywood release to Karnataka while gradually broadening its distribution scope beyond Indian films.
The new Anaconda revisits the 1997 cult film and presents it as a meta-reboot within the action-comedy genre. The film is directed by Tom Gormican, who has co-written the screenplay with Kevin Etten. The updated version approaches the material with a contemporary tone, combining action and humour without relying entirely on nostalgia.
The film features an ensemble cast led by Paul Rudd and Jack Black. They are joined by Steve Zahn, Thandiwe Newton, Daniela Melchior, and Selton Mello, bringing together a mix of established and widely recognised performers.
Anaconda is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on December 25, 2025. In Karnataka, the film will be released in over 300 theatres through Hombale Films’ distribution network.
The association also reflects the evolving viewing habits of Kannada audiences, who are increasingly engaging with global cinema alongside regional and Indian films. By distributing Anaconda across Karnataka, Hombale Films continues to facilitate access to international theatrical releases for local audiences.
