Su From So to touch Rs 50 crore mark with warm reception overseas

Raj B Shetty and JP Thuminad’s Su From So continues to perform remarkably well—not only in Karnataka, where it has crossed 1.1 million ticket sales, but also in international markets. Since its worldwide release on August 1, the film has received an warm reception from global audiences. According to recent reports, Su From So has grossed over Rs 2.5 crore from the USA alone.

In addition to strong collections in the USA and Germany, the film is also receiving positive reviews and drawing audiences in the UAE, Canada, Bahrain, Oman, and Qatar.

Back home in Karnataka, the film produced by Lighter Buddha Films has crossed Rs 36 crore in just 10 days, and will soon to push its worldwide total close to the Rs 50 crore mark—an impressive feat for a Kannada film with an offbeat title and unconventional theme.

Adding to the momentum, the Malayalam dubbed version is steadily gaining traction, with increasing daily footfalls. Meanwhile, the Telugu rights have been acquired by leading Tollywood banner Mythri Movie Makers, with a release date set for August 8. The Telugu trailer was unveiled on August 4.

With its combination of critical acclaim, strong word of mouth, and Raj B Shetty and team's expanding fanbase, Su From So is on track to become one of the most commercially and critically successful Kannada films in recent times.
