Sapta Saagaradaache Ello director Hemanth Rao expresses displeasure over IIFA Awards

Directed Hemanth Rao, who made the two-part film Sapta Saagaradaache Ello, released as Side A and Side B last year, put up a post on his social media expressing displeasure at the recently held IIFA Awards 2024.

He was among the nominees for the Best Direction Award for Sapta Saagaradaache Ello – Side A. The award was ultimately won by Tharun Sudhir for Kaatera.

Sapta Saagaradaache Ello - Side A ended up winning the awards for Best Performance in a Leading Role - Male for Rakshit Shetty, Best Performance in a Leading Role - Female for Rukmini Vasanth, Best Performance in a Supporting Role - Male for Gopal Krishna Deshpande, Best Lyrics for Dhananjay Ranjan, Best Playback Singer - Male for MC Bijju and Kiran Kaverappa, and Best Playback Singer - Female for Srilakshmi Belmannu. It was also nominated for the Best Picture Award among various other awards.
