Shivarajkumar's Bhairathi Ranagal, which is currently running well at the box office, recently urged the youth to steer clear of drugs and instead channel their energy toward constructive and fulfilling pursuits. Addressing a gathering of college students in Hubballi-Dharwad, Shivanna, as he is popularly called, shared a powerful message: “Get addicted to achieving your dreams, not harmful substances.” The event, organised by colleges in collaboration with local police, aimed to raise awareness about the ill effects of drug abuse.

Encouraging young minds to dream big, Shivarajkumar stressed the importance of embracing life’s many opportunities. He highlighted academics, sports, and other creative fields as avenues for channelling youthful energy. “There is so much more to life,” he said passionately. “Young minds should focus on building a future rather than falling prey to destructive habits.”

The actor emphasised the responsibility of youth in creating a healthier society. “If someone falls prey to drugs, the beauty of life begins to fade,” he said, urging the audience to consider the dreams and aspirations their parents hold for them. “Say no to drugs, and remember your responsibility toward your family and society.”

Taking a trip down memory lane, Shivarajkumar shared anecdotes from his college days. He reminisced about his visit to the region during the 25th day celebration of his debut film Anand. “Coming here always reminds me of my student life, which I cherish deeply,” he said with warmth.

Shivanna encouraged students to actively combat the drug menace by reporting miscreants to the authorities. “More than us, it is you who can fight this menace. Stand up against anyone who tries to sell harmful substances,” he urged, making the young audience feel empowered in taking charge of this social issue.

He also recalled his father, the legendary Dr. Rajkumar, and his impactful performance in the Kannada film Shabdavedhi, which addressed the dangers of substance abuse. Drawing inspiration from his father’s legacy, Shivanna concluded his speech by encouraging the youth to follow a path of positivity and purpose.

With his heartfelt words and relatable anecdotes, Shivarajkumar left a good impression on the students, urging them to aim higher and contribute meaningfully to society.
