Shivarajkumar, who took time off from shooting to election campaign for his wife Geetha, is back on the sets of Rohit Padaki's Uttarakaanda after a short break. This action-packed gangster drama, directed by Rohit Padaki, reunites the hit combination of Shivanna and Dhananjay as the leads. Shivarajkumar is starting his portions in Belagavi. On the other hand, Aishwarya Rajesh, making her Kannada debut, will star opposite Dhananjay. The makers are also bringing back the popular pair of Shivanna and Bhavana (Tagaru and Bhajarani 2) for the film.

Uttarakaanda is produced by Karthik Gowda and Yogi G Raj under the KRG Studios banner. The film will also feature Diganth opposite Chaithra Achar. The cast also includes Yogaraj Bhat and Gopal Krishna Deshpande in pivotal roles. Amit Trivedi will be making his Kannada debut as the film's music director, with Advaitha Gurumurthy as the cinematographer.

Shivanna has a busy schedule ahead of him. His film Bhairathi Ranagal is slated for an August 15 release. The actor also has Arjun Janya's film 45, which is in various stages of production. He will soon be joining Ram Charan's film, in which he plays a prominent role. Another project in his lineup is IV Returns, for which he needs to begin shooting soon.
