Uttarakaanda, starring Daali Dhananjaya and Shivarajkumar, is currently in production, and the team behind the film is bringing together an interesting star cast. As reported earlier, the film marks the Kannada debut of Tamil actor Aishwarya Rajesh and also features Bhavana Menon in a crucial role. Billed as an action-packed commercial entertainer, Uttarakaanda's makers have now introduced Bhavana's character, Veeravva, on the occasion of her birthday. This marks the actor's third collaboration with Shivanna, following Tagaru and Bhajarangi 2.

The film also features Umashree, Diganth Manchale, Chaithra Achar, Rangayana Raghu, Vijay Babu, and Gopal Krishna Deshpande in prominent roles. Uttarakaanda, jointly produced by Karthik Gowda and Yogi G Raj under the KRG Studios banner, also has Bollywood music director Amit Trivedi making his Kannada debut and Advaitha Gurumurthy as the cinematographer.
