Project Yash 19 has been highly anticipated by fans ever since the blockbuster success of the KGF franchise. After much speculation about directors and storylines, the announcement of his action thriller, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups, in December 2023 generated considerable buzz. Today, on August 8, filming for this much-discussed film to be made in multiple languages has finally begun in Bengaluru.

It is produced by Venkat Narayan Konandki's KVN Productions and Yash's Monster Mind Creations, and directed by Geetu Mohandas. There has been speculation about an ensemble cast including Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, and Kiara Advani, although official confirmation is pending.

Preparations for the shoot included visits to temples for blessings, underscoring the importance of the first day of the shoot. Yash, who was born on January 8, considers the alignment of today's date, 888 in 2024, particularly auspicious. The production commenced with a significant muhurath shot during the Brahma Muhurath. Symbolically, the first shot of Toxic was initiated by set boy Sunil, marking the beginning of filming.

Set against the backdrop of Bengaluru, this action thriller has Rajeev Ravi as the cinematographer. While Yash, who will be seen in a new hairstyle, has already participated in the shoot, details about other stars joining the set are yet to be confirmed.
