The shooting of filmmaker Hemanth Kumar's upcoming film, Richie, has been wrapped up. Billed to be a suspense thriller with a strong love story at its core, the film has Hemanth playing the titular character, and backing the project. Interestingly, after directing, producing, and acting in Richie, Hemanth has even changed his screen name to Richie.

"Filmmaking has become an adventure, and I enjoy taking multiple responsibilities. With Richie, I have realised my long-pending dream of entering the world of cinema," says Richie, who is excited to release the first song from the movie on May 18.

The director has brought back the renowned singer Kunal Ganjawala for the song, which has lyrics by Ghoush Peer, and composed by Agastya Santhosh.

Richie, which stars Ramola as the female lead,  has cinematography by Ajith Kumar and editing by Arjun Kitty. The film boasts an impressive team of technicians, including stunt directors Thriller Manju and Different Danny, and senior dance choreographers Chinni Prakash, Dhananjaya, and Bhushan.

The Richie team is expected to announce the film's release date following the release of the first song.
