Vybhav, who made his debut with Tarakasura, has completed shooting for his second film, Kasidre Kailasa. Title revived from a Dr Rajkumar film from 1971, Kasidre Kailasa marks the directorial debut of  techie-turned-filmmaker Nag Venkat. He also doubles up as the story and screenplay writer.

“The film is about the protagonist who believes in taking a shortcut route to make money, and the consequences he faces,” says Vybhav. Billed as an entertainer with elements of thriller, comedy, sentiments, and love, the film stars Sukanya Girish, who was previously in Ramesh Aravind’s Shivaji Surathkal. The film also features Sooraj of Comedy Khiladigalu fame, Lokesh, and Akarsh.

Produced by Wasiq Alsaad, Kasidre Kailasa has music by Ashic Arun and cinematography is by Vinod Rajendran. “The film is now in the post-production stage, and we are looking at releasing the film by the second week of May,” says Vybhav.
