The Best Kannada Film Award and Best Audiography Award was bagged by the yet-to-be-released Dollu in the 68th National Film Awards. The film's director Sagar Puranik owes the success to his team,"I couldn't get happier than this. I am forever grateful to my producers Pavan Wadeyar sir and Apeksha Purohit ji for giving me this opportunity! I had a brilliant team to work with and my genuine love for cinema has been received well!,"

Director Pavan Wadeyar, who produced Dollu, feels that cinema is not about box office collections. "A good film has to give back to the society, and Dollu will do that. Whoever loves folk art will love this film."

Dollu explores the journey tale of a boy who is a part of a folk band. The film is expected to hit the screens in August.
