The first full-length official trailer for Nicolas Winding Refn’s upcoming thriller series Copenhagen Cowboy has been released online. Winding Refn is best known for films like Drive, The Neon Demon, and Only God Forgives. The series seems to be following the visual aesthetic that Nicolas Winding Refn is known and loved for. This is the first project by the filmmaker to be made entirely in the Danish language. 

The series follows a stoic Miu who, after years of being enslaved, breaks out to take revenge. As she navigates through the neon-tainted underworld, she meets her nemesis, Rakel. The series is said to have supernatural elements in it. Miu, the protagonist, is played by Angela Bundalovic while her nemesis Rakel is played by Lola Winding Refn. 

The cast of the series also includes Fleur Frilund, Zlatko Burić, Andreas Lykke Jørgensen, Jason Hendil-Forssell, Li Ii Zhang, and Dragana Milutinović. The filmmaker has written the screenplay and directed the episodes while also acting as an executive producer. The six-episode series is currently scheduled to stream on Netflix on 5 January.
