Alia Bhatt attended the opening ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival 2026 on May 12. The actor is attending the 79th edition of the festival as a brand ambassador for the beauty label L'Oréal Paris. The opening ceremony was marked with the screening of the film 'La Venus Electrique' (The Electric Venus), which Alia attended. 

On the occasion, Alia wore a strapless monotone peach gown with a body-hugging silhouette, pairing it with a matching Scandinavian scarf, featuring a bold plunging cutout neckline, from Tamara Ralph. the Jigra actor also wore a statement coral necklace, oval peach gemstones and matching earrings which only accentuated the peachy, summery vibe of her outfit. 

This was Alia’s maiden red carpet look for 2026, at L’Oréal Paris. Earlier on Tuesday, the actor was photographed in a corset-style ball gown hand-painted with a scenic landscape.

The Cannes Film Festival, which began on Tuesday evening, will come to a conclusion on May 23. 

On a professional front, Alia is gearing up for her next release Alpha, where she will be seen sharing screen with Sharvari. The big-scale actioner, producer by Yash Raj Films, is tentatively set for July 2026 release.
