Lollu Sabha Venkatraj passes away

Comedian Venkatraj was part of the sketch comedy show Lollu Sabha, which aired on Vijay TV

Actor and comedian Venkatraj, who was part of Vijay TV's Lollu Sabha, has passed away. The news of his passing was revealed by Palaniappan, Venkat's cast mate on Lollu Sabha.

Posting on social media, Palaniappan wrote, "We are sad to inform that Venkatraj, our dear friend and brother, have passed away. I pray to God to for his soul to find peace."

While the reasons for Venkatraj's passing is yet to be revealed, he was previously hospitalised for an unrevealed illness.

In Lollu Sabha, which aired on Vijay TV, from 2005 to 2008, Venkatraj performed alongside Santhanam, Swaminathan, Jeeva, Bala, Manohar, Seshu, among others, where they parodied Tamil films.

Venkatraj also later acted in films like Dagalty (2020) and Dikkilona (2021), which starred his Lollu Sabha cast mate, Santhanam in the lead. He was also a part of Metro (2016) and Saithaan (2016).

Venkatraj later reunited with his Lollu Sabha castmates for a Breaking Bad spoof, entitled Joking Bad, where he played the role of Hank.
