Kichcha Sudeep’s next big project has become the subject of fresh speculation after the actor officially joined hands with People Media Factory and Supriyanvi Picture Studios. The production houses have unveiled an announcement poster revealing that a major update will be made on September 2, which also happens to be Sudeep’s birthday. While the makers have not revealed the subject of the film, the announcement has already sparked speculation that Sudeep could be set to portray the legendary Vijayanagara emperor Sri Krishnadevaraya.
People Media Factory and Supriyanvi Picture Studios announced the collaboration with a striking ‘king-size’ social media post featuring Sudeep’s name alongside the two production banners. The post reads, “A KING-SIZE COLLABORATION... Kiccha Sudeep X People Media Factory X Supriyanvi Studios. #PMFxSupriyanvi Announcement on September 2nd.” The accompanying visual features a prominent king’s crown, further fuelling speculation that the collaboration could be for a historical film.
There has been considerable buzz around the possibility of Sudeep portraying Sri Krishnadevaraya, the celebrated emperor of the Vijayanagara Empire who ruled from 1509 to 1529. Known for his military achievements, administrative acumen and patronage of art, literature and culture, Krishnadevaraya remains one of the most iconic rulers in Indian history. A film centred on his life would offer scope for a grand historical spectacle and could potentially become one of the most ambitious projects of Sudeep’s career.
However, the Sri Krishnadevaraya connection remains unconfirmed. Neither Sudeep nor the production houses have officially revealed the film’s subject or confirmed that the actor will portray the historical ruler. The September 2 announcement is expected to reveal the film’s title and other key details, including its subject, director and scale.
The collaboration brings together two production houses with notable credentials. Supriyanvi Picture Studios, led by Priya Sudeep, has made its presence felt with projects such as Mark and Mango Pachha and is now backing another new venture. People Media Factory, meanwhile, has established itself as a prominent Telugu production house with big-budget films such as Karthikeya 2, Dhamaka and Bro, apart from Prabhas-starrer pan-India film The Raja Saab. The banner has also collaborated with Kannada stars, including Ganesh on Pinaka, while it has upcoming projects with Sriimurali and Dhruva Sarja.
With Sudeep, People Media Factory and Supriyanvi Picture Studios coming together, the announcement has already generated considerable buzz. If the king-themed reveal does indeed point to a Sri Krishnadevaraya film, September 2 could mark the unveiling of an ambitious historical venture, with Sudeep stepping into a powerful royal avatar.
