Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, which completes 75 years this year, is now stepping into Gujarati cinema with Dhabkaaro, which is set to release on May 1. As part of the film’s promotions, producer Sajid Nadiadwala, along with director Abhishek Shah and lead cast Deven Bhojani and Aarjav Trivedi visited Ahmedabad.
During their visit, the Dhabkaaro team had the honour of meeting the Honourable Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel. On the occasion, the team also unveiled the film’s new poster along with the special Gujarati logo of their banner, to mark the completion of 75 years.
Speaking on the occasion, Sajid Nadiadwala said, “My roots are deeply connected to Nadiad, and that has always been a big part of who I am. In many ways, this journey feels like it has come full circle. My grandfather, A.K. Nadiadwala, began his journey in cinema with a Gujarati film, Inspector, and today, as we are in our 75th year, presenting Dhabkaaro feels like a homecoming for us. It makes this moment even more special to have Honourable Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel ji unveil our Gujarati logo along with the film’s poster.”
After receiving appreciation at its early screenings in Kenya, South Africa, the film recently had a screening in Mumbai which was attended by the likes of Aamir Khan, Shefali Shah, and Ashutosh Gowariker.
Dhabkaaro is produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Harfanmaula Films, and The Moving Manch with Dipti Jindal as the associate producer. Abhishek Shah has also penned the screenplay, besides helming direction.
