Condolence messages are pouring in for those who lost their lives in the devastating landslides in North Bengal the other day. The latest to offer her deepest sympathies to the friends and families of the victims is actor Mokksha, known for her role in the 2023 Malayalam film Kallanum Bhagavathiyum. In a recent video, she took to her Instagram page to ask people to "unite together for North Bengal" as well as pray for the state and its people. "We never expected this worst scenario. The system of WB will be busy dancing in the carnivals even after the completion of the festivals, even after getting the red alert from the Weather Forecast department..," the actor wrote about the North Bengal landslides.

She went on to add, "So many lives are lost and homeless.. Let's contribute in whichever way possible.."

The North Bengal landslides have accounted for the deaths of up to about 30 individuals, according to reports. The relentless downpour on October 05, Sunday, contributed to one of the decade's most severe landslides in Darjeeling.

Mokksha was born in Barrackpore, part of West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district, which is not one of the districts to face the direct brunt of the landslides.
