Chinese animation film Ne Zha 2, becomes the sixth highest-grossing film of all time

The film is set to release in the United Kingdom and across Europe, for a wider international release

Chinese animation film Ne Zha 2 continues to break box office records as it passes the $2 billion mark in total earnings, reports Variety. Following its release in the United States, it is set to release in the United Kingdom and across Europe.

An official synopsis for the film reads, "After the heavenly lightning, although Ne Zha and Ao Bing survived by becoming spirits, they would soon dissipate completely. Taiyi plans to rebuild Ne Zha and Ao Bing’s mortal bodies with the Seven-coloured Precious Lotus. However, during the process of reconstruction, numerous obstacles arise. What will become of the fate of Ne Zha and Ao Bing?"

Ne Zha 2 surpassed the $2 billion mark, earning its spot amongst films like Avatar, Avatar: The Way of Water, Titanic, Avengers: Endgame, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It beat out Avengers: Infinity War to become the sixth highest-grossing film of all time.
