Earlier, we reported about Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayate grossing 100 crore at the global box office, thus becoming the highest-grossing film in Gujarati cinema. The other day, the cinema network Citara felicitated the film's makers in a special event and congratulated them on the milestone. At the event, Laalo's director Ankit Sakhiya and producer Ajay Balwant Padariya expressed their gratitude to Gujaratis in India and abroad for ensuring that the film grossed over 100 crore from theatres worldwide.

Reflecting on its achievement, Citara's founders, Rahul Nehra and Tutu Sharma stated, "Laalo has broken all records at our centres, including Jamkhambalia. We are enthused by this leap in cinematic excellence and are firmly on track to establish 25 screens across Gujarat in the next 12 to 18 months." The founders also said that the pursuit by the film's makers of quality and the strong emotional connection that the film has been having with audiences worldwide contributed much to it achieving the box office milestone.

The film has also set new records across cinemas owned and operated by Citara.

At the same time, Citara and Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayate's makers expressed their interest in creating a film city and a media school with high-end facilities in the state. They are expected to present the government with a comprehensive plan for the infrastructural project.

Laalo cinematographer also Shubham Gajjar attended the ceremony, in addition to the film's stars Maulik Chauhan, Karan joshi, Shruhad Goswami, and Reeva Rachh.

According to a press release, the media school and film city look to nurture artistic talents in Gujarat and establish the state as a creative hub with international standards, in alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision.
