Hijack 1971 trailer: Two men risk it all to save a hijacked plane

The trailer for the upcoming South Korean disaster film Hijack 1971 was unveiled on Saturday. Written by Kim Kyeong-chan and directed by Kim Seong-han, the film stars Ha Jung-woo, Yeo Jin-goo, Sung Dong-il and Chae Soo-bin.

The trailer shows a young passenger hijacking the plane and making the pilots fly to North Korea instead of Gimpo, as planned. However, the two pilots risk it all to ensure the safety of their passengers. Hijack 1971 is based on the hijack attempt of a Korean Air F27 airliner in 1971.

The film is backed by Perfect Storm Film and Channel Plus and distributed by Sony Pictures Entertainment Korea and Kidari Studio. With cinematography by Lee Hyung-deok, editing by Kim Sang-bum and music by Kim Tae-seong, Hijack 1971 is all set to hit theatres on July 5.
