Jeet’s Chengiz to become first film in the country to release in Hindi and Bengali simultaneously

The film also stars Shataf Figar, Susmita Chatterjee and Rohit Bose Roy in key roles

Following the footsteps of the South Indian film industry, Bengali cinema is also going the pan-Indian way. Bengali superstar Jeet’s upcoming action-thriller Chengiz will be the first film in the country to release in Hindi and Bengali simultaneously.

Directed by Rajesh Ganguly, who has also worked on the film’s screenplay and dialogues, Chengiz is based on a story by Neeraj Pandey and Ganguly.  It follows the titular hero’s rise in the underworld.

Apart from Jeet, the film also stars Shataf Figar, Susmita Chatterjee and Rohit Bose Roy in key roles. Chengiz is set for an Eid release on April 21, 2023. Jeet, who made his debut with the 2001 Telugu film Chandu, shifted to Bengali cinema after the film panned at the box office. He got his breakthrough from the 2002 Bengali film Sathi.
