Joyland is to be out in India on this date

Pakistan's Oscar submission for Best International Feature Film Joyland is all set to be released in India on March 10. The films starring Ali Junejo and Alina Khan will be distributed through PVR Pictures in India. Joyland is written and directed by Saim Sadiq in his feature film directorial debut.

Joyland will be the first Pakistani film to release in India in more than a decade after Shoaib Mansoor's Bol. The film has been acquired by HBO for an Eastern European release and negotiations are underway to release it in Italy, Latin America, and Israel.

Apart from Ali and Alina, the film also stars Sania Saeed, Sarwat Gilani, Rasti Farooq, Salman Peerzada, and Sohail Samir in pivotal roles. Actor-director Riz Ahmed along with Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai served as the executive producer for the film.
