Till trailer out; Biographical film follows a mother's pursuit of justice for her son

Directed by Chinonye Chukwu, the film is based on the infamous murder of Emmett Till

The trailer of Till, the upcoming biographical film based on Emmett Till's murder, was released on Wednesday. Directed by Chinonye Chukwu, the film features Danielle Deadwyler, Jalyn Hall, Frankie Faison, Haley Bennett, and Whoopi Goldberg.

The trailer offers a glimpse of the emotional journey of Mamie Till Mobley (Danielle Deadwyler), who fights for justice for her 14-year-old deceased son, Emmet Till. In 1955, Till, an African American boy, was brutally lynched while visiting his cousins in Mississippi.  The story unfolds with how Maime's fight turns into a revolution in changing the world for the better.

It is produced by Keith Beaucham, Barbara Broccoli, Whoopi Goldberg, Thomas Levine, Michael Reilly and Frederick Zollo under the Universal Pictures banner. The makers noted that the date for the film’s release in Indian theatres will be announced soon. Director Chukwu has written the script along with Michael Reilly and Keith Beaucham.
