Netflix releases first looks of Alice in Borderland season 2

The first looks of Alice in Borderland season 2 has been unveiled by Netflix, as it is set to stream from December 22.

Alice in Borderland is set in an abandoned Tokyo where two of the main characters of the show, Ryohei Arisu and Yuzuha Usagi are made to compete in a dangerous game. While the players are given visas when they win the games, they are shot dead by red lasers from the sky, if they fail to make their visas extend.

As per the streaming platform, the synopsis of the second season reads as, "The story follows Arisu (Kento Yamazaki) and Usagi (Tao Tsuchiya) as they hope to return to their original world by making it through a variety of deadly 'games'... But even if all the cards are in order, will they be able to return to their original world?"

Alice in Borderland is based on the manga by the same name, by Haro Aso. The series is directed by Shinsuke Sato, who has also written the screenplay along with Yasuko Kuramitsu.

The second season will feature Kento Yamazaki, Tao Tsuchiya, Nijiro Murakami, Ayaka Miyoshi, Dori Sakurada, Aya Asahina, Yuri Tsunematsu, Yutaro Watanabe, Yuki Morinaga, Keita Machida, Hayato Isomura, Kai Inowaki, Katsuya Maikuma, Honami Sato, Chihiro Yamamoto, Nobuaki Kaneko, Tsuyoshi Abe, Sho Aoyagi, Riisa Naka, Tomohisa Yamashita, among others.
