Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War anime to resume in July 2023

A new promotional teaser was released to announce the arrival of a new set of episodes

It has been confirmed that the second batch of episodes from the ongoing Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War anime series will start airing in July 2023. Thousand-Year Blood War is a direct sequel to the Bleach anime series which aired between 2004 to 2012. 

A new promotional teaser was released to announce the arrival of a new set of episodes. Each new episode will air every week, the episodes will reportedly air on Disney+ internationally and on Hulu in the US. The series is being developed by Studio Pierrot and is written and directed by Tomohisa Taguchi. Masashi Kudo has worked on character designs while Shiro Sagisu has composed the music for the series.

The official synopsis for the upcoming arc says, “Was it all just a coincidence, or was it inevitable? Ichigo Kurosaki gained the powers of a Soul Reaper through a chance encounter. As a Substitute Soul Reaper, Ichigo became caught in the turmoil of the Soul Society, a place where deceased souls gather. But with help from his friends, Ichigo overcame every challenge to become even stronger… The history and truth kept hidden by the Soul Reapers for a thousand long years are finally brought to light. All things must come to an end--as Ichigo Kurosaki's final battle begins!”
