On Monday, Jio Cinema released the trailer of their upcoming film Kaalkoot starring Vijay Varma in the lead. Helmed by Sumit Saxena, the film will be available to stream on the platform from July 27. 

The trailer of Kaalkoot starts by introducing Vijay Varma as a noble subordinate cop, who is pushed to the verge of giving up his job by his superiors and the system. However, things take a turn as he is assigned an acid attack case and he decides to investigate and identify the perpetrator. 

Swetha Tripathi plays the acid attack victim in Kaalkoot. Seema Biswas, Yashpal Sharma, Gopal Dutt, and Suzanna Mukherjee round out the cast of the upcoming film. 

In a statement, actor Vijay Varma said, “Kaalkoot is a coming-of-age story of Ravi, the character I portray, and I believe it will undoubtedly be a transformative experience for anyone who watches it. The show digs deep into our souls, challenging how we see ourselves and revealing the hidden sides of humanity, the parts we often overlook.
