The crime-thriller series will stream in Punjabi, Hindi and English

Netflix India has released the trailer of CAT, a new crime thriller series starring Randeep Hooda.

Directed by Balwinder Singh Janjua, the film unfolds over two parallel timelines in Punjab. Randeep (exchanging his Extraction ponytail for a turban) plays Gurnaam Singh, a former police informant who's pulled back into the game after his younger brother gets caught in a drug racket.

To secure his brother's future, Gurnaam enters a murky underbelly of politics, corruption and crime to bust a thriving drug cartel. CAT also features Suvinder Vicky (Meel Patthar, Chauthi Koot), Hasleen Kaur, Geeta Aggarwal, Dakssh Ajit Singh, Sukhwinder Chahal, KP Singh, Kavya Thapar, Danish Sood and Pramod Pathal. The series was shot in over 80 locations in Punjab. It will stream in Punjabi, Hindi and English from December 9 on Netflix.

Talking about his character in his series debut, Randeep says, “Gurnaam Singh is fierce yet calm, he is strong yet fragile and while you will find a familiarity with this character,  you will not be able to guess his next move. I am thoroughly excited with CAT and that Balli (Balwinder Singh Janjua) has brought authenticity and genuineness to each and every scene.”
