Among the cinematic pleasures of 2021: Dune, sincere Bond sendoff, and ripped Ayushmann Khurrana. 

In the trailer for Abhishek Kapoor's Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, fans are treated to a transformed Ayushmann: brawny, broad-chested, stout. He has a faded top knot and a stache and looks the part of a smug gym bro and champ. "You've become a bull," scorns his mother as he walks out, refusing to marry to focus on his weight-lifting career.

But then Vaani Kapoor walks in as a svelte Zumba instructor and he's lost. "There's something else..." she tells him later, in a scene that indicates the trans romance at the heart of this film. 

Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui is co-produced by T-Series and Guy in the Sky Pictures. The film is releasing theatrically on December 10 this year. 

Speaking about the film, director Abhishek Kapoor said, "Nothing gives me more joy than to see our film heading for a theatrical release soon. As the trailer drops today, we are sure that people will surely be thrilled to see Ayushmann and Vaani in this avatar. It's not just any love story but one that's uniquely mind-bending and yet universal in its appeal.
