Hanuman Ansh, the sleeper hit of the year, added new feat to its list of box office accomplishments on Sunday as it crossed the 400 crore figure at the box office worldwide.

Hanuman Ansh hence became the 28th Hindi film ever to achieve the 400 crore milestone, and only 3rd this year, after Dhurandhar 2 and Border 2. The film continued its steady run on Sunday, collecting Rs 9 crores nett across 4387 shows in India, as per Sacnilk. Overseas, the film added another Rs 0.75 crores. The film’s worldwide collections currently stand at Rs 401.20 crore. 

Overall, it is the 45th Indian film ever to hit the 400 crore milestone, when including films from other language industries which also released in Hindi market.

The devotional drama also crossed the 300 crore figure at domestic box office, becoming 31st Indian film ever to do so. The film also inched closer to the domestic box office figures of Border 2, which did a business of Rs 329 crores in India.

Despite running in its 8th week, the film refuses to slow down at the ticket counters — such a boxoffice performance is rather unprecedented, especially in the post-pandemic times. It remains to be seen whether Hanuman Ansh will hold its ground against Drishyam The Conclusion, which releases in 4 days 

Written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, Hanuman Ansh is based on the life of Neem Karoli Baba, more popularly known as Maharaj ji. Produced by Swambhu Media Network, Ragini S, Namrata G S, and Anupriya A Nagar, Hanuman Ansh features Chandan K Anand and Shobhinav Satyaa in the lead cast, and actors like Nikhil Dubey, Udaysinh Rajput, Purnima Tiwari, and Mannish Chaudhary in the ensemble cast.
