The makers of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film Love & War have now unveiled the first look of Vicky Kaushal, who is part of the lead cast alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The first look posters for both Ranbir and Alia were released in last 3 days.

Instead of revealing the complete character look, the poster focuses only on a smouldering Vicky, who looks intensely into the camera as he lights his cigarette. ‘Nazre milengi, lekin hatengi nahin!’ (“You will meet his gaze, but won’t be able to take your eyes off him),” the caption read. The deep gashes on his forehead and cheek add a lot of character to his look.

Love & War marks Vicky Kaushal’s first collaboration with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He has shared screen with Ranbir earlier in Sanju (2018) and with Alia in Raazi (2018). Set against a war backdrop in the mid-60s, the film was reported to be an adaptation of Raj Kapoor’s Sangam. While the makers haven’t commented on the same, Bhansali has kept the world of Love & War under wraps for much of its production, even as glimpses from the sets and the film's casting continued to fuel curiosity.

Yesterday, after the release of Alia Bhatt’s look, a brief clip from one of her musical performances was leaked online. 

Love & War has been in the making for nearly two years. The film completed its principal photography earlier this month.

After originally announced for a Christmas 2025 release before being pushed to 2026 and eventually to January 2027, Bhansali Productions officially confirmed the January 21 date earlier this year, with the film set for release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
