Shah Rukh Khan took to social media on Tuesday to deliver and unveil the first dialogue from his upcoming actioner King. Earlier in the day, the actor also did an #AskSRK session on X where he confirmed the release date for the film as December 24.
In a new video, shared by Shah Rukh’s production house Red Chillies Enetrtainment on Instagram, a visual of the film’s script can be seen with the actor’s voice over. “Too early to put out the dialogue of the film,” SRK says in his signature baritone. “But still because everybody is asking, on December 24, King. Picture abhi baaki hain, King akela kaafi hain.”
The first glimpse of King was unveiled last year, with the makers also confirming December 24, 2026, as the release date. However, there was plenty of speculation about the film likely to be postponed after other big pan-India films, especially Nagarjuna starrer King100, had also been scheduled for December 24 release.
However, in a recent X post, Shah Rukh confirmed that his film will arrive as scheduled. Replying to a fan’s question about whether they are planning to shift the film’s release, the actor replied, “Not at all.” Replying playfully with a pun to the question of being sandwiched by other releases, he wrote, “Think of the other pieces — we are the tasty Tikki in the centre.”
Besides starring Shah Rukh in lead, King also features Deepika Padukone, Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Abhay Verma, and Arshad Warsi in key roles.
Directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, King marks Shah Rukh’s second collaboration with Siddharth Anand after their 2023 blockbuster Pathaan.
