We had previously reported about Akshay Kumar collaborating with Vidya Balan and Raashii Khanna for the family entertainer Mauja Hi Mauja. The film, which is being directed by Anees Bazmee, is currently set for December 4 release. On the occasion, Raashii Khanna penned a heartfelt note for her co-stars and director.
Taking to her Instagram page, Raashii Khanna shared a few BTS stills from the sets, penning, “Every film has a story on screen, but sometimes the real fun happens when the cameras aren’t rolling! Mauja hi Mauja was one of those shoots that felt more like a vacation than work. From the unstoppable laughter to the Ludo games, dumb charades, carrom matches and all the madness in between, there was never a dull moment. And clearly, not every memory is meant to be a dignified one!”
Further thanking her team for a fun shoot, Raashii added, “ Akshay sir, Vidya ma’am and Anees sir, thank you for making this journey so much fun. The film may be wrapped, but I have a feeling the stories from this set will keep us laughing for a long time!”
produced by Dil Raju with Shirish Reddy and Kuldeep Rathore in association with Cape of Good Films, Mauja Hi Mauja also marks a reunion of Akshay and Vidya after about seven years. They last collaborated on Mission Mangal (2019).
Mauja Hi Mauja is an official adaptation of the Telugu film Sankranthiki Vasthunam (2025). The original, starring Venkatesh, Aishwarya Lakshmi, and Meenakshi Choudhary in the lead, was one of the biggest Telugu hits of 2025.
Raashii was last seen in the Prime Video series Lukkhe. Her upcoming projects also include season 2 of Shahid Kapoor starrer series Farzi.
