There has been some speculation about the actual singer for 'Judi Jodi,’ the upcoming track from Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash. After Chinmayi Sripaada rendered the song at a recent event, people started wondering if she is the singer for it. The speculation surfaced also partly because Chinmayi is known for her collaborations with AR Rahman, who is the music director for Ramayana alongside fellow Oscar winner Hans Zimmer. However, on Thursday, she clarified that Shreya Ghoshal is the singer behind the track.

Taking to social media, Chinmayi clarified, “Judi Jodi is beautifully sung originally by the Goat Shreya Ghoshal. I was a stand in and learned the song literally at the very last minute. I am grateful for the opportunity and to my Guru, Rahman Sir.”

A Chinmayi fan page uploaded the song video on YouTube, sparking the speculation. However, as it turns out, the singer has only rendered it in a live event, promoting the upcoming film.

Last year, the makers of Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan's Thug Life had Chinmayi sing ‘Muththa Mazha’ for the film's promotional event. The rendition of the song brought much attention to Chinmayi, making audiences ask the Tamil film industry to provide more opportunities for the singer and even drawing comparisons between her and Dhee's versions of the same song. With fans comparing Dhee's iteration of ‘Muththa Mazha’ unfavorably to Chinmayi's version, the latter offered a clarification, asking people not to draw such parallels and expressing her admiration for the former.

Coming back to the Ramayana song, it is reportedly a Swayamvar track for the film. The makers of the film are yet to make it available to the audience, whether it be in audio or as a lyrical video.
