On Saturday, Hanuman Ansh surpassed the domestic figures of the Sunny Deol starrer Border 2, becoming the second highest grosser of 2026. The devotional-drama is now only behind Dhurandhar: The Revenge.
According to Sacnilk, the domestic box office figures of Hanuman Ansh stand at Rs 329.61 crore nett, as of on Saturday 2:00 pm. Meanwhile, the overseas collections currently stand at Rs 40 crore. The film also released recently in Telugu dub version, collecting Rs 0.15 crore in that territory on Friday.
After taking a slow start, the film has been continuously breaking records, and setting up new standards for a long haul at the box office. Made on a reported budget of Rs 2 crore, Hanuman Ansh has defied all trade expectations and is likely to kickstart a new trend of mid-scale devotional films in the coming few years.
Last week, with a collection of Rs 10.50 crore nett, the film also created a new record for highest week 9 figures of all time. It remains to be seen whether the decision of Telugu release will prove to be another great call by the makers.
Written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, Hanuman Ansh is based on the life of Neem Karoli Baba, more popularly known as Maharaj ji. The film’s stupendous success has also led to a massive spike in the number of pilgrims and tourists at Kainchi Dham, a place highly associated with Maharaj ji.
Produced by Swambhu Media Network, Ragini S, Namrata G S, and Anupriya A Nagar, the devotional-drama features Chandan K Anand and Shobhinav Satyaa in the lead cast, and actors like Nikhil Dubey, Udaysinh Rajput, Purnima Tiwari, and Mannish Chaudhary in the ensemble cast.
