This Sunday marks a month since the release of Mirzapur: The Movie, directed by Gurmmeet Singh and starring Pankaj Tripathi, Divyenndu, Ali Fazal, Jitendra Kumar and Rasika Dugal, among others. On the occasion, Ali Fazal, who reprises his role of Guddu Pandit from the popular web series the film is based on, shared his gratitude to the audience for making it a grand commercial success.

Taking to Instagram, Ali Fazal wrote, "My film completes a month today in theatres. We did something right.. i like to think. Thank you again for all the love . Now go watch Drishyam 3. And other films. You hahe been an awesome audience. Keep the theatres alive."

Written by Puneet Krishna, Mirzapur: The Movie has grossed more than 330 crore from theatres, according to data from the box office tracker Sacnilk. A spinoff of the popular Prime Video show Mirzapur, it is reportedly one of the four highest-grossing Hindi films of the year, alongside Dhurandhar: The Revenge, Border 2, and Hanuman Ansh.

Even on the 28th day of its release, the Mirzapur spinoff earned 60 lakh from theatres, according to Sacnilk data. However, with the release of Drishyam: The Conclusion, starring Ajay Devgn, the spinoff is expected to release soon on a streaming platform. Reports say that it would drop on Prime Video towards the end of October.

Speaking of which, Drishyam: The Conclusion has opened to rave reviews from critics and audiences. Viewers say that the film is better than the third instalment in the Malayalam original franchise, directed by Jeethu Joseph and starring Mohanlal in the lead role. According to Sacnilk data, the Ajay Devgn starrer has already earned over 190 crore from theatres.
