We had previously reported about Luv Ranjan announcing his next film as a producer, Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar. The makers recently released a new single from their film, titled ‘Purane Din’.

Composed by Rochak Kohli and penned by Kumaar, ‘Purane Din’ explores the innocence and warmth of young love through its soft, soulful soundscape. The song adds an emotional layer to the journeys of the film’s six protagonists - Tushar Chhibber, Sargun Kaur Luthra, Kunal Vaid, Sakshi Vaidya, Sparsh Walia, Alisha Chopra as they navigate friendship, feelings and the beginnings of their love stories.

It is to be noted that Arijit, Rochak, and Luv have earlier collaborated on many popular songs, including ‘Tera Yaar Hoon Main’ song from Sonu ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018), which too became an anthem for friendship and has since earned an iconic status.

While ‘Tera Yaar Hoon Main’ captured the enduring bond of friendship, ‘Purane Din’ takes audiences back to the memories born from those friendships - the simplicity of young love, stolen glances across a classroom, unspoken feelings and the excitement of seeing your crush every day.

Rochak Kohli said about the song, “With ‘Purane Din,’ I’m happy to reunite with Luv Ranjan, Arijit and Kumaar to explore another universal emotion - the innocence of first love. We’ve tried to create a song that feels familiar yet new."

Lyricist Kumaar added, “With ‘Purane Din,’ the idea was to write about a time that we may have left behind, but whose emotions still stay with us. I hope the lyrics bring back that feeling of being young, having your friends around you and experiencing those first emotions together.”

Produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg and directed by Anuj Saini, Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar is set to release on October 23, and will clash against Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Udta Teer.
