A new village horror film titled Kheti, starring veteran Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff, has officially been announced. Earlier this Wednesday, the makers unveiled a poster for the film, offering a glimpse into its dark and rural setting. The caption of the post read, "Kheti jagne wali hai," meaning Kheti is about to awaken, suggesting that something hidden in the village is about to come alive or awaken.

Written and directed by Haris Imtiyaz Khan, the film is produced by Sana Khan under the banner of BlackCanvas Studios in association with ZeroLand Productions.

The cast also includes Sharad Kelkar, Neha Sargam Virendra Saxena and Shaji Choudhary. The poster hints at a haunting and suspense-filled story with dark visuals while keeping its central mystery under wraps. No further details regarding the plot or character specifics have been made public.

This project adds to a diverse upcoming lineup of Jackie Shroff. In addition to Kheti, the actor will venture into science fiction with The Great Grand Superhero – Aliens Ka Aagman. He is also part of Ahmed Khan’s Welcome To The Jungle, also starring Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty and Lara Dutta.
