Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar franchise, starring Ranveer Singh in the lead, has been minting millions at the global box office, with its second chapter riding on the positive momentum of the first part. Amidst the success of the franchise, many film personalities have been asked about the film's contentious politics, among other topics related to the franchise. Actor Ashish Vidyarthi is the latest to speak about its popularity.
Talking to reporters recently, Ashish said that he has not yet watched the films in the franchise, because he has been busy with other endeavours in the recent past. "I do not watch films these days because I travel around quite a bit. I am in search of interesting goals," the actor said.
At the same time, Ashish Vidyarthi made it a point to congratulate and praise the film's makers for its staggering performance at the box office.
"The movie is doing amazing numbers. It has been liked. Importantly, it has taken filmmaking to another level, and I will say this is a point of celebration," Ashish Vidyarthi added.
The actor also appreciated Dhurandhar director Aditya Dhar for his longstanding efforts and struggles to reach this level. "Hats off to him. Amazing," the actor said, referring to the maker of the spy saga.
Since the release of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, many have been talking about its director's past struggles with rejections and shelved projects. Some of the discourse surround his attempts to become a cricketer at the Under-19 level, which failed allegedly because of politics. Some claim that he lost a spot on the India U-19 World Cup team to Stuart Binny, the son of former cricketer Roger Binny. Many have been sarcastically thanking Stuart Binny, who also played the IPL, for giving birth to a filmmaker.
