Actor Jaideep Ahlawat has met Indian Men's Cricket Team and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru's former captain and star batter Virat Kohli. Sharing a picture featuring him with Virat on social media on Friday, the actor wrote, "Just a day before the kick start of IPL 2026. It was so amazing to meet you finally. Thank you for your time Capt." The actor also used heart emoticons to express his love and admiration for Virat Kohli, widely regarded as one of the greatest batters of all time in cricket. Jaideep Ahlawat described the meeting with the phrase "Virat Lamha," suggesting how memorable it has been for him.

In the comments section of Jaideep's post, Prime Video, the streamer of his multiseason series Paatal Lok, wrote, "Just two Kings maximising their joint slay." For the unversed, Virat is also known as 'King Kohli' for his iconic performances in the cricket field.

Fans also joined the conversation, referring to the moment as Jaideep's Paatal Lok character Hathiram Chaudhary meeting Virat Kohli. Notably, Virat has not been the captain of any major cricket team for a while now. Therefore, Jaideep's use of the term 'captain' to refer to Virat suggests his long-held admiration for the cricketer. When a young Virat scored a matchwinning 183 runs from 148 balls in India's Asia Cup match against Pakistan in 2012, for example, the actor described it with the words, "Brilliant" and "What a knock".

Notably, Virat is also a fan of Paatal Lok. When its first season debuted in 2020, the cricketer posted a glowing review on X, where he called it "a masterpiece of story telling, screenplay and tremendous acting". It is worth noting that the series is produced by Anushka Sharma, Virat's actor wife, and her brother Karnesh Ssharma under their Clean Slate Filmz banner.
