Sayani Gupta's directorial debut titled Aasmani, Revathi to headline film

Sayani Gupta, known for Article 15 and Four More Shots Please, has written and directed Aasmani, her directorial debut, which stars Revathi in the lead

Actor Sayani Gupta's directorial debut is tilted Aasmani. The short film is written by the actor, with actor Revathi headlining the film's cast.

Taking to Instagram, Sayani wrote, "Our labour of love, hope and light. 2 and half years since I started writing the script to today, when the world learns about it. I couldn’t have asked for better collaborators for my first ever film. Robust, loyal and brilliant.. every step of the way!"

She added, "It takes a village. And I was blessed with the best village mates. Hope this is the first step into a long, wholesome journey of telling stories that matter."

The cast of the film also includes Daria Bedi and Abhay Kaul.

Sayani Gupta has also designed costumes, alongside serving as an executive producer, backing the project under the Sayani Gupta Movies banner. Dia Mirza, Nikhil Advani, and Ananya Rane are also serving as executive producers along with the film's editor Paramita Ghosh, Siddharth Meer (credited for Picture Finish on the film), the film's sound designer Vinit D'Souza, Smriti Kiran, and Neeraj Gera. SGFA and One India Stories are also backing the film.

Sayani Gupta is known for Article 15 (2019) and Zwigato (2023). She was recently seen in the fourth and final season of Prime Video's Four More Shots Please!.
