After taking a record-breaking opening at the box office, including a thunderous response for paid previews, Dhurandhar: The Revenge registered yet another massive day at the box office on Friday. However, the film also witnessed a relative drop in its overall collections, garnering Rs 80.72 crore nett on day 2.

That’s a 21 percent drop compared to the film’s day 1 collections, where it collected Rs 102.55 crore nett. However, the strong figures nonetheless ensured that Dhurandhar 2 crossed the 200 crore mark on day 2 itself, at domestic box office alone. Meanwhile, in the overseas market, the gross collections of Dhurandhar 2 stand at Rs 64 crore.

As of at 10pm on Saturday, the Aditya Dhar directorial has already opened very strongly and collected Rs 15 crore in nett figures. With such a promising opening, the Ranveer Singh starrer is easily looking to earn more than Rs 150 crore in nett figures.

The film has already broken multiple records, including the highest opening for any Hindi original film, beating Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan (2023). The film fell Rs 1 cr short of earning 100 crores on Day 1 (excluding paid previews) with its Hindi version alone.

By grossing over 50 crores worldwide with its paid previews, the film broke the record of Pawan Kalyan’s They Call Him OG, by a huge margin.  With a strong hold on weekend, and no competition for the next three weeks, Dhurandhar 2 is now aiming the records set by other pan-India blockbusters like Pushpa 2, KGF 2, and Baahubali

Produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, Dhurandhar 2 stars R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun in key roles.
